Mum & Baby Yoga (Postnatal) - 4 week course

Join Kelly for a 4 week Mum & Baby (postnatal) course

 Restoring. Recovering. Supporting.

The postnatal period is a time we should honour the female body and spirit for what it can and has achieved and for the job it is still doing.

These classes provide a nurturing space for women to restore their energy, gain a sense of belonging and recover from pregnancy, birth and day to day mothering.

Join Kelly for a 4 week Mum & Baby (postnatal) course

Every Wednesday 11am from November 13th to December 4th (13th, 20th and 27th November + 4th October 2024)

We’ll bring a sense of playfulness through gentle yoga movements, songs & sensory to help with babies development whilst also allowing time to quieten down & relax.

These classes offer invaluable support for the new mum and provide a safe place for her to completely ‘be’ with her baby.

Class benefits included...

Strengthens pelvic floor, abdominal and back muscles to regain core strength

Relieves tension in the upper body resulting from holding and feeding

Restores hormonal balance and eases pressure on the nervous system

Renews energy through rest and relaxation

Relieves stress, anxiety and depression

Improves posture, realigns the spine and improves balance
Allows reconnection with the body

Aids bonding between mum and baby

Provides the opportunity to connect and build friendships with other mums

Offers a nurturing environment in which to emotionally heal after a difficult pregnancy or birth

You don’t need any prior experience of yoga to practise Postnatal Yoga and it doesn’t matter if you haven’t practised Pregnancy Yoga or Postnatal Yoga in the past. It’s best to rest for at least 6 weeks after the birth of your baby before coming to a group postnatal class and regular attendance is encouraged in order to promote progressive recovery.

Feeding, changing, giggling & crying are all part of the flow of the class!

Recommended from 6 weeks postnatal or from 14 weeks if experienced C-Section, Medical Intervention (also known as ‘assisted birth’) or 3rd/4th degree tear to the perineum.

See you and your baby on the mat at ACS
